Since 1989, Acqua Coolers has been providing purified drinking water and
softened water to local businesses and residents. Acqua Coolers is one of the
largest bottle-less water cooler companies in Southern California. We have
helped thousands of people convert from bottled water to a more convenient
and cost effective bottle-less water system.
What type of water does Acqua Coolers provide? Acqua Coolers offers you
a choice. We offer Reverse Osmosis, De-ionization and Filtration. Reverse
Osmosis is our most popular system because it offers an endless supply of
'bottle quality' purified drinking water. Our trained representative will
help you determine which type is best for you.
How many glasses of purified water should I drink per day?
Six to eight glasses of pure water are recommended for most people.
What is Reverse Osmosis? Reverse Osmosis (RO) is the most effective
and cost-efficient water system available today. RO systems work by
pressuring water up against a semi-permeable membrane that stops contaminants
from passing but allows clean, clear water to get through. Both
health-related contaminants-- such as lead and asbestos-- as well as many
aesthetic contaminants that can affect the taste, color and odor of water are
reduced or eliminated by an RO system. A Reverse Osmosis system is an
effective means of providing gallons of fresh drinking water at a fraction of
the cost of premium bottled water.
What is the difference between 'spring' water and Acqua Cooler water?
Many people have a misconception about bottled water. They believe the
company bottles water from a spring and directly delivers it to you. In
reality, in most cases, the water comes from a municipal water supply.
Regardless of where the water comes from; the company must transport it
to a processing plant to filter out bacteria and impurities. Acqua Coolers
uses a similar system but we purify the water at your location giving you an
endless supply of fresh drinking water.
Does all bottled water come from a spring?
No, most bottled water companies use municipal water, which they filter or
purify. In fact, two-thirds of all bottled water on the market today is
purified tap water. Furthermore, before bottling, bottled water companies
must add a preservative such as chlorine or ozone to give the water a 3 to 6
month shelf life.
What about water quality?
Acqua Coolers provides a sophisticated Reverse Osmosis system. Reverse
Osmosis is a tried and proven technology that had been used for over 50 years
by the pharmaceutical industry. Our system purifies at the time of use so it
is actually more hygienic than bottled water that may sit in bottles for
months. On the other hand, with a bottled water system-- when bottles are
changed dirt and bacteria may enter into the tank as the top of the bottle is
submerged into the cooler tank.

Our current vendor doesn't service the cooler on a regular basis. Does
Acqua Coolers?
Acqua Coolers is the only company in this area that offers regular scheduled
Preventive Maintenance. Our Acqua technician will perform an on-site visit
every six months to monitor water purity and sanitize your system. Also, it
is true that bottled water vendors do not regularly service their coolers.
In their literature, they recommend that you clean their cooler every 2-3
months.

What about installation?
Installation is free within 50' of a water source. All installations are
performed by our own in-house technicians. We can install a cooler virtually
anywhere (as long as there's a water line in the building). Installation is
simple and generally takes about an hour. We do not alter or change the
existing plumbing. The installation is similar to installing an icemaker or
automatic coffee maker.
What about our landlord? Will our landlord allow it?
The majority of our customers rent or lease their office space, so we work with landlords
regularly. A concern of the landlord is altering the plumbing or turning off
the water … we do neither. We work with the landlord to provide the
necessary information and insurance certificates.
